If you have found (or have been given) the  URL to this landing page, you, like us, believe that the world is an amazing place and that there is so much to be explored and done to create an ever-brighter future for all of us. We at the Andres Family believe in a future of solarpunk, rather than cyberpunk, so we want to provide our skills as storytellers to let brighter minds communicate their vision of how we can get there. Currently in pre-production of this new endeavor, we’re in the process of curating topics & guests for our show, some of which may be (amongst others):

When the Palestinian Hamas killed 1.147 Israeli civilians on October 7, 2023, global unrest broke out over the Israeli retributional, strikes which claimed the lives of 18.200+ Palestinians in the following two months only. Amidst the heated discussions, where sentiments of anti-semitism and anti-islamic rhetoric are exchanged all too often, German-Israeli Shai Hofmann & Palestinian Jouanna Hassoun launched the “Trialogues”, a project for which they visit schools to raise awareness and discuss non-violent conflict resolutions with the students. (guests to be confirmed)

Are Bitcoin & the blockchain changing the world of politics & business, and should they change the lives of ordinary people as well? What is ecstatic dance? How does drug addiction work, and how do you combat it? Does systemic racism really exist, and if so, how does it look? How long until we are powered by nuclear fusion? How does quantum physics actually work?

These are just some of the questions the Andres Family wants to ask the carefully curated people of authority from each of the over 60 respective fields of expertise. With an approach of “no question too dumb”, the interview hosts of the Andres Family will explore what is happening in this world, who are the major players in bringing about actual positive change, and who can we, the normal people, follow and support to lead a better life for ourselves, as well as leave a better world for those to come after.

Podcasts are as popular as ever, since for producers they are a low-risk opportunity of producing content, while for consumers they present a means of entertainment and/or education with no other investment than the time they decide to listen. Video podcasts are an especially fruitful endeavor therein, for their multi-purpose multi-platform usability.

With no hidden agenda other than the communication of the Andres Family’s vision for a bright future for all of us to partake in, the “we’re only trying to change the world” podcast will offer its audience free high quality content by raising awareness on topics that matter. The project is currently in pre-production and presumed to premiere in early summer 2024 on 15 distribution channels such as Spotify, YouTube & TikTok.

BECOME A FRONTLINE SUPPORTER

“we’re only trying to change the world” is an endeavor dedicated solely to spreading awareness of positive change in the world. Accordingly, there is no monetary incentive involved in its production for either the guests or us as the hosts. However, the Andres Family will naturally have production costs for each episode, and at this point, we cannot offer our guests a speaker’s fee either, which would be a nice-to-have in the long run.

If you wish to become a frontline supporter of the first hour of our strictly non-profit endeavor, you may send us your donation via the Paypal-button below.

In the payment-subject, please write “Andres Family podcast donation: we’re only trying to change the world”, as well as your full name. We will send you a confirmation email via your Paypal-email when we have received & booked your payment, and we’ll keep you in the loop on how exactly your money is being spent. And unless you specifically ask us to remain anonymous, we would also like to thank you as our supporter in the respective next podcast episode.

We use these earmarked assets of our supporters solely for the financing of this specific podcast, e.g. to buy equipment, for the catering of our guests, and if in time the amount of support allows it, speakers fees & expense allowances for our team members. For the sake of full transparency: We are still completely new to this non-profit game and may make administrative mistakes we are unaware of (gotta love German bureaucracy). In the long run we’re aiming to set up an official foundation/trust fund, so that all the legal mumbo-jumbo is taken care of, but at the moment we are a small startup having learnt from the commercial media agency industry, so it may take a while for us to adjust to what truly aligns with our core values. Accordingly, if in doubt, please get in touch before making a donation. For details on our current administrative & legal handling, for other payment options, or any other questions, please get in touch with us via office@theandresfamily.de and we will get back to you as soon as possible in person (usually within 1-5 business days).
